Escrima

Escrima today is known as the various weapons fighting arts practiced in the Philippines. The name is similar to the Spanish word for fencing as Spain had influence over the country for some time. Our Escrima is very functional and direct just like WingChun. Students learn how to use single sticks, machete, knife, dual weapons, and staff then progress to special weapons like the ax and tonfa. In fact, we use Escrima as a more conventional form of weapons fighting to supplement the WingChun long pole and double knives.

*Escrima is a supplemental program taught usually in special events.
